About Hillgreen
Our Clinic
Hillgreen is a Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture clinic with three locations in Midtown Toronto, Vaughan, and Northumberland County. Formerly known as Oncology Acupuncture Toronto and Hillgreen Oncology Acupuncture & Herbs, our clinic has a long history of working with people through cancer treatment and recovery.
With highly-trained practitioners, and many years of experience in cancer support, we’re uniquely positioned to help many other patients facing chronic and complex conditions.
We offer natural healing methods including Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion, tuina massage, cupping, Qi Gong and mindfulness meditation, and more.
Our Mission
Our mission is helping people reconnect with the healing power of nature. Our passion is empowering people with tools for well-being, in any stage or situation. We believe we can all create a better world by giving and receiving authentic care – for our bodies and minds, our relationships, the Earth, and our communities.
Our Farm
Hillgreen’s clinic in Warkworth, Northumberland County is on a farm run by Hillgreen’s founder Pauline Sok Yin Hwang, and her partner Ben Postance.
Hillgreen Farm & Healing Centre is a small-scale ecological farm producing 100% grass-fed beef and lamb, as well as organic garlic and other seasonal herbs and vegetables.
We are passionate about a regenerative agriculture system that prioritizes a clean, healthy environment, biodiversity, and animal welfare. We grow super organic foods that will deeply nourish your health and well-being. Our products are made by hand with care, and without any harmful chemicals.
Our farm is a member of the Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario and the National Farmers Union. We are certified as having an Environmental Farm Plan.
Our Logo
In Chinese culture, the image of the phoenix not only represents the harmony of humans and natural elements. In the Five Elements of Chinese medicine, the Red Phoenix is a mythical animal associated with the Heart, the “Emperor” of all the internal organs, and the Shen (the “Spirit” of the Heart), representing the spiritual link between the physical, mental and emotional aspects of the soul. The Pheonix here is incorporated into a symbol of Yin and Yang, representing the balance that forms the basis of health and well-being in Chinese medicine.
Land Acknowledgment
We’d like to acknowledge the land on which our three clinics operate. For thousands of years these have been the traditional lands of the Huron-Wendat, Seneca, Haudenosaunee, Mississauga Anishnabeg, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. The territories include land that falls under Treaty 13 and the Williams Treaties, as well as unceded land that is still being contested. Today, this area is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on and learn from this land. We are committed to working in solidarity with Indigenous peoples toward reconciliation and landback.
